I create art reflecting my lived experiences with Bipolar Disorder, addiction, rehab, and recovery, to promote a better understanding of Bipolar among people with no experience with the illness, and to give hope to those living with Bipolar from a survivor who has come out the other side. By working with encaustic I am able to build many layers, just as there are many layers to every one of us. As you move closer and look deep you can see the whole picture, just as you must get to know someone on the inside to truly know who they are.
